INTRODUCTION TO GLOBAL SEMINARS
GLOBAL SEMINARS HAS A MISSION to provide a
life-changing set of global experiences that will help younger persons and their educators get
excited and concerned about their world - and thereby better launch them on a
life of self-motivated learning - investigating, interrogating and experiencing
their world - in order that they might better serve it.
GLOBAL SEMINARS CUSTOM DESIGNS educational tours
for student and educator groups - working closely with your group leader - creating a traveling
school experience that brings life and excitement to any course of study. We
take responsibility for the educational content, transport within the country of
destination (e.g. domestic U.S. air travel and coaches), accommodations and most
meals - and some world-class fun and sightseeing. For more about our distinctive
strategy, see Uniqueness.
GLOBAL SEMINARS IS A SERVICE for educators and student
travel agents wishing to have a professionally designed and coordinated
educational itinerary. Tour topics can be custom-tailored to the goals of the
group. Tour duration is typically, but not necessarily, within 10-30 days.
Tours typically include 2-3 major urban destinations with a full program of
educational activities (corporate, laboratory, workplace, university,
practitioner and organizational visits, etc.), some recreational days (e.g. major
tourism attractions), city tours, and (time permitting) national parks or other
places of natural interest. For more about our collaborative planning procedure,
see Planning, Topics, Itinerary Ideas, Destinations and Useful
Tools.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATOR for all
initial educational itinerary design and logistics planning is Robert M. Meyer
(educated at Grinnell, Princeton and Oxford). Mr. Meyer has done such
educational travel planning work for 14 years: the first seven for international

university student groups. For more about professional credentials, see Credentials and References.
